Born in Shropshire, England about 50 years ago I was variously a farmer, game warden, dog warden and Environmental Health Officer. After 20+ years in local government I set up and ran my own trekking company in Nepal. I still trek widely and travel extensively.
Along the way I developed an interest in photography that has developed into a passion. I started entering competitions and in my first year won a number of competitions as well as going on to become runner up in the final of Digital Camera Magazine's Photographer of the Year 2006 - from an original entry of over 22,000. Since then I have had work published widely in magazines like Digital Camera Magazine, The Dorset Magazine, Muse Magazine, Scarlet Magazine, Real Travel Magazine, The Independent Magazine and The Daily Express. My work has also been recognised as an 'Image of the Day' in the Times newspaper.

In 2008 a photo of mine was praised by Eamonn McCabe, Mary McCartney and KT Tunstall who awarded me first prize in the Renaissance photography competition.
Travel and travel photography remain my first love and recent photographic trips include; Ethiopia, Rwanda, India, Russia, Nepal, Tibet, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Chile and Argentina.
I am usually available for all types of photographic work. Should you have a particular photographic need please get in touch via the contact link. Portraits of individuals, family groups and animals can be taken at your home or in my Dorset studio. I shoot weddings in conjunction with Paul Quayle an established photo journalist.
