In 2008 John was the winner of the Renaissance Photography Prize and his entry was described by Eamonn McCabe as being 'technically accomplished' and by Mary McCartney 'an incredibly engaging image'. John has won numerous other prizes, is widely published and has been exhibited at Proud Galleries in London.

John Burton undertakes, travel photography, wedding photography, corporate photography, portrait photography, studio photography and glamour photography in Dorset. In addition he can offer slide and negative scanning services as well as general image enhancement and photoshop work. His photography studio is fully equipped with Bowens and Elinchrom lighting equipment. Based in North Dorset, near Blandford Forum, Shaftesbury and Sturminster Newton, in the South West of England John Burton offers photographic and imaging services throughout Dorset and the surrounding areas such as Somerset and Wiltshire. Studio portrait photo sessions from £40. Images can be supplied on disk, DVD, as prints, photo albums or on canvas. Image restoration services available. John can also offer some limited time for TFP/CD (time for prints) to those in the modelling industry.
